Twilight is coming

Ok, so now the twilight hype has made me super curious about these books. The first I ever heard about the Twilight series was when I began work at Deseret Book last year. I was getting the overview of what goes where and where everything is from a coworker. She told me about how these books shouldn't be in the young adult section because it is to graphic about "how you feel when you are in love". Not really understanding what she ment because I define love and lust as two different things. They go together but different feelings. Kinda left me wondering wether Derert Book had a naughty romance novel in thier midst. I doubted it because one its a church books store and two this woman was very self righteous. She would take any chance she got mentions that she is on the Tabernacle Choir, or talk about how Micheal Buble shouldn't be in the store cause he swears at his concerts and things of that sort.Anyway I never really thought about them again till now almost a year later. All this hype and attention has made me curious. I don't trust the review I was previously given. My cousin( I love you cannie) says I would enjoy the books it but i'm not sure I have the time to devote to reading it and on that note i'm not sure I want to spend money on it considering i don't know if i will get around to reading it.My question to everyone out there is should I devote the time and money to read it? Is it worth it?

the second homecoming

Last week Jason and I taught a lesson on preparing for the second coming. While reviewing the lesson we asked them what they would tell their parents when asked what they learned that day. One of our boys Taylor exclaimed that we were preparing for the homecoming. Jason and laughed about it cause they are always so funny. Later, as we were leaving class we once again asked them what they learned and Lincoln said preparing for the second homecoming. You gotta love these kids.

funniest comercial

So i saw a commercial for Huggies diapers the other day. Soooo funny. Its a dad at a party he goes into the other room to change his sons diaper . When he pulls the diaper back the baby pees everywhere so he quick covers it up with the diaper. Everything is ok huggies saved the day. They also make the stream like it was coming from a pressure hose. Then he pulls the diaper back to try one more time it and again sprays every where the walls and ceiling. The dad covers the baby again and just is like what the heck.It is one of thoes comercials where the first time you are like what the....... Then the second time you just laugh. Probably so funny to me cause I do not have any boys so i have never experienced that kind of suprise while you change the diaper.

The perfect doll

I am on a hunt for the perfect doll for Kyla. I have already spent hours looking for one that I think Kyla will like. I don"t want the cheapest one out there but, I will never spend 80 or even 50 dollars on a doll for a 18 month old. I am one step to giving in and just buying a set at Costco and hide the stroller and accessories since she is not two yet and that is the age recommendation. Also Jason and I have a suspicion that she would try to climb in herself.

Candy Nails

It is pretty rare that I paint my nails these days. Its not hard finding the time to do it but it is hard to find the time to let them dry. I'm usually picking up babies, cleaning or making food. I"m not about to let one of my kids cry because i need to let my nails finish drying. By the time Jason is home and we have the girls in bed I have forgotten that I wanted to ever do my nails in the first place. You really know it has been a long time though when you finally paint them and your 18 month old thinks they are candy. I painted my nails a cute watermelon pink. The next morning when Kyla saw them she kept trying to pick them up and eat them. She would also lick them periodically. It didn't take her very long to realize I wasn't going to let her bit my nails.

Yay Cookies

On Tuesday I decided to make chocolate chip cookies for Jason because they are his favorite (and not to mention the only cookie he likes). I decided to have Kyla help make them. She helped me stir them with the wooden spoon along with a teaspoon in her left hand. When we were done mixing she turned her attention to her teaspoon while I measured the chocolate chips out of our Costco chocolate chip bag. When I poured the chocolate chips into the bowl Kyla let loose a little gasp of amazement, that chocolate was falling from the sky. She very quickly and very dainty started picking up the chips one by one before they had a chance to disappear. It was so adorable.

flip out

Kyla has discovered how much fun it is to flip. She lays on the couch with her head hanging of the end and then flips off. I do not have any video right now but I will post it when I do. She loves that and will do it over and over. Maybe we should put he in tumbling when she gets a bit older.

wonderful week of now

I spent most of this week in pain and puking in the toilet. It started on Monday as aches and pains. I took a warm bath and felt better. Tuesday it just got worse and having a five month old that was obviously not feeling well and a 18 month old that just likes getting into things made the day that much worse. Tuesday ended in me calling Jason freaking out and crying because he was 15 min later than usual. I did mention that Ammie had be screaming all day and I could barely move. Ammie was relentless finally on Wednesday morning (barely) about 1:00 in the morning Jason took her to the hospital. She had a 101 fever and we could not get her to calm down. she was fine and we were advised to keep giving her Tylenol to bring her fever down. Still, she was very miserable and would let us know.Which as any parent knows its frustrating when your babies cries nonstop and even more so when you know something is wrong but you can't do anything about it. Jason stayed home with me on Wednesday which was such a good thing because by then my head hurt so bad it hurt to move my eyes and my stomach was reminded me of why I hate being pregnant. Thursday comes and Jason stays home again and Ammie and I start getting red spots on our bellies. We both still feel like poo still . Friday my mother in law Carole came over to help me with the girls cause Jason's work needed him to come in that day. Friday ended with another emergency room visit though because once again Ammie was worrying us. She had the spots covering her body and we were worried about it being something serious for a five month old. Thank goodness the basic diagnosis was that it was viral reaction to the viral infection. In other words we are allergic the the virus. OK good to know. On our way home we stopped by Walmart got some allergy medicine and gave Ammie the dose the doctor recommended. During the night she woke up only twice to eat and went back to bed and only twice for the bink. Wow. What a difference. Thank you doctors. oh i also woke up on Saturday morning with everything feeling much better no aches and i felt like eating. yay i love food.

44th president of the United States

Congratulations to Obama for becoming the 44th president of the United States. Also for making history in being the first black president of the United States of America. Showing that a many Americans are now over the bigotry that inflicts our country. Although it wasn't who I was hoping for but all we can do is hope. Hope that Obama can be the President that we need. So I pray that Obama is different. That being a a good person and a good leader is not determined by you political association but by the choices you make. That he can be a great leader and help America in regaining our respect and how place in the world, jump start the economy, job growth. Fix the many problems of a country that was miss managed over the last eight years.
